We're launching CiVQ

After a long stretch of quiet building, Pragmatic Business Solutions, LLC is releasing CiVQ — bilingual-first civic software for local governments. We're a small team from the Rio Grande Valley, and this is the work we set out to do: give cities, counties, and school districts software that treats English and Spanish as equals, and that a government can actually own.
Why we built it
Local governments near us were renting a patchwork of tools that treated Spanish as an afterthought and never quite fit how a small public office really works. We thought communities here deserved better than that, so we built one platform where both languages are native on every resident-facing screen — and where the government, not a vendor, holds the keys.
What it does
CiVQ brings the everyday work of a local government into one place: resident requests and 311, permits and licensing, records and public transparency, utility and payment information, internal operations, and communications. Every resident-facing form, receipt, and message comes in English and Spanish, and each resident chooses the language they hear from us in.
Built to be owned, not rented
Governments can let us host CiVQ, or take a full handover and run it themselves. The owned version has no kill-switch and no phone-home, and essential public-safety services keep running no matter what. We believe public software should belong to the public.
Where we're headed
We're starting small and close to home, in the Rio Grande Valley, and growing carefully from there.
