Social Media Archiving

A compliance archive of the entity's social-media presence — posts and comments preserved verbatim as public records, immutable once captured.

Staff-onlyComplete tierBilingual EN / ES

Where the Social Media module is about publishing, Social Media Archiving is about the record. Captured posts and comments are preserved verbatim and are immutable once archived — staff browse the archive, run a compliance search, and manage retention and legal holds, all from one screen with live counts at the top.

What you can do

Capture

Preserve verbatim

Posts and comments are captured as public records and kept immutable once archived — the content can't be altered after the fact.

Browse

Work the archive

A newest-first list of archived posts shows platform, author handle, account, posted date, comment count, and media count per post.

Filter

Narrow by account & date

Filter by connected account and a posted-at date range to zero in on exactly the window or page you need.

Detail

Open the full record

Each post opens to its full content, media keys, threaded comments, and the timestamps for when it was posted and when it was captured.

Holds

Apply legal holds

Mark posts under legal hold so they're exempt from retention purging, with the count surfaced right on the home tiles.

Retention

Set the policy

Retain forever or for a set number of years; the home stat shows the active retention rule alongside accounts, posts, and comment totals.

A typical workflow

  1. Posts are captured — the entity's published social content is archived verbatim and becomes immutable.
  2. Check the tiles — accounts, archived posts, archived comments, and legal holds are counted at the top, with the retention rule shown.
  3. Filter the browser — narrow by account and posted-at date range to find the relevant posts.
  4. Open a record — review the full content, media, and threaded comments for a single post.
  5. Search or hold — run a compliance search, and place a legal hold to exempt records from retention purging.

A closer look

In practice
The home screen is the archive browser: stat tiles for accounts, archived posts, archived comments, and legal holds (with the retention rule), an account + date-range filter, and a newest-first list where each post shows platform, handle, comment count, media count, and capture time. Sections cover posts, search, accounts, and retention.
Where it lives
Staff: /dashboard/socialarchive (browser, search, accounts, retention). Post detail pages carry the legal-hold control.
